Local SEO is the process of optimising for local search results. When users search for a phrase within Google’s search engine, different results can be shown to them dependant on their location when they carried out the search.

Local search might include search terms such as ‘near me’ or ‘in’, for example: ‘Digital marketing in Hereford’ or ‘SEO agency near me’ – however Google’s algorithms have got very sophisticated over the years that these days a Google search that doesn’t include localised words, still results in different results being shown dependant on the location of the user who carried out the search.
